Scientific Evidence:
Phenibut, the active ingredient in Noofen capsules, is a GABA analog that crosses the blood-brain barrier and acts as a central nervous system depressant. It exerts anxiolytic and nootropic effects by binding to GABA receptors in the brain, resulting in a calming and sedative effect.
Several studies have shown the efficacy of Phenibut in reducing anxiety and improving mood. A study published in the journal “Neuropharmacology” demonstrated that Phenibut significantly reduced anxiety-like behavior in rats, indicating its potential as an anxiolytic agent.
Additional Information:
- Noofen capsules should not be used for more than 2-3 weeks continuously to avoid tolerance and dependence.
- It is important to consult a healthcare provider before starting any new medication, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions or are taking other medications concurrently.
- Phenibut has been reported to have withdrawal symptoms if abruptly discontinued after long-term use. It is recommended to taper off the dosage gradually under medical supervision to avoid withdrawal effects.
