Normopres is prescribed for various forms of arterial hypertension.
Description
Normopres composition and form of release
Active ingredients: captopril, hydrochlorothiazide.
Available in tablet form (50 mg + 25 mg).
Pharmacological properties
Normopres is a combination medicine (ACE inhibitor + diuretic) for the treatment of hypertension. The drug, inhibiting the formation of angiotensin II, eliminates its vasoconstrictor effect and a stimulating effect on the production of aldosterone in the adrenal glands. At the same time, the total resistance of peripheral vessels decreases and, accordingly, blood pressure. The preload on the heart muscle also decreases, the pressure in the right atrium decreases, as well as the pulmonary circulation. The diuretic substance (hydrochlorothiazide) increases the excretion of Cl, Na, K ions from the body, and water.
