Description
The promotional set contains: Noxspray nasal spray for children 0.025% container 15 ml + Noxspray Aqua solution isotonic for rinsing the nose, 20 ml bottle.
Noxspray for children composition
Active ingredient: oxymetazoline hydrochloride (0.25 mg / ml).
Excipients: polyethylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, water, eucalyptol.
Release form
Available as a solution (nasal spray).
Pharmacological properties
This is a nasal spray. The active ingredient excites alpha-adrenergic receptors. When applied to the mucous membrane, it causes vasoconstriction, while reducing edema and redness. With rhinitis (runny nose), relieves nasal breathing.
Indications

Contraindications:
- with allergies to the components of the solution;
- with “dry” inflammation of the nasal mucosa with the formation of crusts (dry rhinitis);
- with the transferred transsphenoidal removal of the pituitary gland or any other surgical interventions with exposure of the meninges in history
- with tachycardia;
- with arterial hypertension;
- with angina pectoris;
- with severe atherosclerosis;
- during pregnancy, breastfeeding;
- with simultaneous treatment with MAOIs, tricyclic antidepressants;
- children under one year old.
Use with caution:
- when treating MAOIs or other drugs with a hypertensive effect in the past;
- with increased intraocular pressure, especially with angle-closure glaucoma;
- with cardiovascular pathology;
- with pheochromocytoma;
- with metabolic disorders (for example, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism);
- with porphyria;
- with prostatic hyperplasia.
Children
It is used in pediatrics for children from 1 year old.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
During these periods, Noxspray for children is not used.
Method of administration and dosage
Noxspray for children is applied intranasally (in the nose).
The spray is used in children from one to 6 years old – one injection into each nasal passage up to three times a day, for children from 6 years old – one or two injections into each nasal passage up to three times a day.
It is not recommended to use the spray for more than five days.
Overdose
When applied topically, overdose is unlikely.
Symptoms: mydriasis (dilated pupils), nausea, cyanosis, convulsions, fever, cardiovascular disorders (tachycardia, arterial hypertension, arrhythmia, cardiac arrest), respiratory failure, changes in consciousness, drowsiness, pulmonary edema, decreased body temperature, bradycardia (decrease heart rate), a sharp drop in blood pressure, respiratory arrest, coma development.
Overdose treatment: stopping treatment, seeking medical attention immediately, intensive care.
Side effects:
- Cardiovascular disorders: heart palpitations, arrhythmias, arterial hypertension.
- Neurological disorders: headache, paroxysm, insomnia, fatigue, dizziness.
- Respiratory, thoracic, mediastinal disorders: burning in the nose, feeling of dryness, shortness of breath, sneezing, increased swelling of the nasal mucosa, epistaxis, atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
- General disorders: tachyphylaxis, fatigue, drowsiness, visual impairment.
- Digestive disorders: nausea.
- Immune disorders: hypersensitivity reactions (angioedema, exanthema, itching).
- Mental disorders: sleep disturbances, agitation, hallucinations.
Storage conditions and periods
Store at a temperature of 15-30 ° C out of the reach of children. The spray has a shelf life of two years.
Noxspray Aqua composition
This nasal spray is a physiological saline solution that contains sodium chloride;
1 ml contains sodium chloride 9 mg, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.

- As an adjuvant in the use of local vasoconstrictor agents.
- To maintain physiological characteristics and eliminate dryness of the nasal mucosa under appropriate microclimatic conditions, caused, for example, by the operation of air conditioners, including automobiles, or central heating radiators, during repeated flights, and the like.
- For cleaning the nasal mucosa from dust, allergens and other air pollution factors.
- To restore the physiological state of the mucous membrane after surgical interventions in the nasal cavity and sinuses.
Children
Can be used in children aged 1 year and older.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
No studies have been conducted on the use of Noxprey Aqua in pregnant women.
Mode of application
The edge of the vial nozzle should be inserted into each nasal passage and press the vial sharply. During air injection, it is advisable to suck in with the nose. Do not turn the bottle over when injecting the spray.
- For therapeutic purposes, it is used for adults and children over 7 years old, 2 injections 3-4 times a day, for children 1-6 years old – 1-2 injections 3-4 times a day.
- For hygienic and prophylactic purposes, it is used for adults and children over 7 years old, 2 injections 1-3 times a day, for children 1-6 years old – 1-2 injections 1-3 times a day.
The course of application is up to 4 weeks. If necessary, it can be repeated after a month.
Warning
This Noxspray Aqua can be used by children aged 1 year and older. The use of children is allowed only in the presence of adults.
Noxprey Aqua does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions.
To prevent the spread of infection, you should not use one bottle for several people.
This remedy should not be used by persons with individual hypersensitivity to its components.
Benzalkonium chloride can irritate the nasal mucosa, especially with prolonged use.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
