Description
Oftolik composition
1 ml of drops contains: polyvinyl alcohol (14 mg) and povidone (6 mg), as active ingredients, as auxiliary substances in the composition are designated: benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium edetate, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, water for injection.
Release form
Available in the form of eye drops, transparent, colorless or light yellow liquid, packed in a 10 ml plastic dropper bottle.
Pharmacological properties
Oftolik is intended for use in ophthalmology. One of the drugs with which you can effectively eliminate such a common problem as dry eyes caused by certain ophthalmic diseases or working at a computer, prolonged TV viewing, etc.
The drug helps to thicken the tear film, enhance the lubricating effect, reduce dryness and irritation of the eye surface. Has a calming effect on the eyes, for colds, inflammatory, fungal and bacterial eye lesions.
Indications for use

Contraindications

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of eye drops is possible only for the recommendations of the attending physician, when comparing the benefits to the mother and the risks to the child or fetus.
Mode of application
For adult patients, Oftolik is used in a dose of 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye.
Depending on the severity and nature of the disease, the duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually for each patient.
Overdose
There are no data on cases of overdose.
If you adhere to the instructions for using the drug and do not exceed the doses indicated in it, there can be no overdose.
In case of accidental ingestion of the drug in high doses, it is necessary to apply symptomatic treatment.
Adverse reactions
The use of drops can cause the manifestation of various side reactions: redness, a decrease in the density of goblet cells, increased irritation, increased permeability of the corneal epithelium, a cytostatic effect on the cornea of the eye, inflammation.
Also possible: tingling sensation, burning eyes, blurred vision, eye pain, headache, allergic reactions, including rash, redness, itching, including on the skin around the eyes.

Storage conditions
The drug should be stored in tightly closed original packaging, at a temperature not exceeding + 25 ° C, out of the field of vision of small children, out of direct sunlight.
The expiration date is indicated on each packaging from the manufacturer and is 24 months.
After opening the bottle, its contents must be used within 45 days.
