Description

Oxyliten composition
The solution contains the active ingredient: tenoxicam 20 mg.
Additional substances: mannitol, trometamol, sodium metabisulfite, sodium hydroxide, sodium edetate.

Release form
The drug is produced in the form of a compacted powder (lyophilisate) for the preparation of a solution for injection, yellow or yellowish-green in color. One pack contains one bottle with a lyophilisate (20 mg) and an ampoule with a solvent (2 ml).

Pharmacological properties
Oxyliten belongs to the group of anti-inflammatory drugs that have analgesic, antipyretic effects and relieve inflammation.

Indications for use
Oxyliten is used and prescribed to treat the following diseases:

  • rheumatoid arthritis;
  • gouty arthritis;
  • nonspecific infectious polyarthritis;
  • osteochondrosis;
  • arthrosis osteoarthritis;
  • sciatica;
  • ankylospondylitis;
  • lumbago;
  • diseases of the musculoskeletal system: (sprains, trauma, myositis, soft tissue damage);
  • bursitis;
  • tendinitis.

Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated for use in: bronchial asthma, rhinitis, angioedema, urticaria, severe gastritis or gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver dysfunction, hepatic or renal failure, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, heart failure, as well as hypersensitivity to the constituent components and in childhood.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding period
The use of the drug for pregnant women and lactating mothers is contraindicated.

Mode of application
Oxyliten is intended for intravenous and intramuscular use.
Before use, the drug is diluted in 2 ml of water for injection.
The recommended dose is 20 mg once a day.
In acute attacks of arthritis, the recommended dose is 40 mg once a day for the first 2 days of treatment, after which the usual dose of 20 mg is used once a day for 5 days. After the onset of a positive effect, the dose can be reduced to 10 mg once a day for 7 days.
The introduction of the drug in the form of injections is recommended for the first 5-7 days, then tenoxicam is prescribed in tablet form.
The standard course of therapy is 7 days, but in the case of severe active diseases of the musculoskeletal system, up to 14 days.

Overdose
No cases of drug overdose have been reported.
In case of drug intoxication, the following are possible: headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, pain or discomfort in the epigastric region, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, agitation, disorientation, coma, tinnitus, drowsiness, weakness, convulsions, hepatic or renal failure … Apply symptomatic treatment.

Adverse reactions
The use of the drug can lead to such side effects as: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, dyspepsia, heartburn, abdominal pain, flatulence, hematimesis, ulcerative stomatitis, gastritis and gastrointestinal bleeding.
Taking the drug can cause: liver dysfunction, jaundice, hepatitis, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, neutropenia, anemia, leukopenia, decreased hemoglobin levels, eosinophilia, edema and eye irritation and blurred vision.
Also possible: hyperglycemia, optic neuritis, agitation, paresthesia, nervousness, depression, hallucinations, sleep disturbances, malaise, tinnitus, headache, weakness, dizziness.
The introduction of the solution can cause negative reactions from the cardiovascular system: shortness of breath, edema, tachycardia, arterial hypertension, heart failure, nephrotic syndrome, interstitial nephritis, renal failure. Also hypersensitivity reactions: rash, urticaria, itching, angioedema, bullous dermatitis, alopecia, photosensitization.

Storage conditions
The drug must be stored at a temperature not exceeding +25 ° C, in its original packaging, out of direct sunlight and access to children.
The shelf life is 36 months.
