Description

Posterizan Forte Composition and form of release
Active ingredients – suspension of culture of bacteria E. coli, hydrocortisone, excipients. It is produced and sold in the form of ointments.

Pharmacological properties
The medicinal product Posterizan Forte has an anti-inflammatory, reparative and immunostimulating effect of a local application in the rectum and anus.
It helps to enhance both specific and nonspecific local immunity due to its antigenic action, stimulating the repair of inflamed tissues. Promotes the healing of cracks and wounds in the mucous membrane both in the rectum and on the skin of the perianal zone. Increased immunity helps to prevent the resumption of infection, the manifestation of secondary and superinfection.
Hydrocortisone, which is part of Posterizan Forte, has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and exudative effects.

Indications
Posterizan Forte ointment are used rectally to treat patients with diagnosed hemorrhoids, including chronic hemorrhoids, as well as itching in the anus. It can be used both as monotherapy and in combination with other drugs. Effective for perianal dermatitis and eczema of the anorectal zone.

Contraindications
Do not use if you are allergic to one of the active ingredients.
Not intended for the treatment of diseases of the anorectal region of bacterial, fungal or viral etiology, including syphilis, tuberculosis, gonorrhea, chickenpox and dermatomycosis.
Contraindicated in post-vaccination reactions, fungal and inflammatory diseases of any localization, including perioral dermatitis and rosacea.
Not recommended for ulcers, atrophy and neoplasms in the anorectal region, parasitic infections of the skin and rectum.

Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is undesirable to use during pregnancy as corticosteroids can pass through the placenta. In theory, they can cause fetal growth retardation. If necessary, application is possible only in a very short period of time. Lactation should be suspended during treatment.

Method of administration and dosage
Before using both suppositories and ointments, you should hygiene the area around the anus, wash your hands. The procedure is performed after natural bowel cleansing twice a day.
The ointment is applied in a thin layer, rubbing lightly into the areas requiring treatment. For introduction into the colon, you need to use the applicator.
The duration of treatment with Posterisan Forte is no more than a week, after which you should again consult a doctor for a second diagnosis.                                                                                                                                  Otherwise, the principle of treatment and hygiene is similar to the use of an ointment.
The duration and changes in the treatment semen are determined by the attending physician.

Overdose
There are no recorded cases of Posterizan Forte overdose in the medical literature.
Theoretically, with prolonged and abundant use of Posterisan Forte, it is possible to suppress the functions of the adrenal glands, the occurrence of edema, an increase in pressure inside the skull, the occurrence of tachycardia, and hypertension.
Drug therapy should be canceled, symptomatic treatment should be prescribed.

Side effects
Usually well tolerated, but in some cases, allergies may occur in the form of skin dermatitis, hyperemia at the site of application. Prolonged use can lead to the development of undesirable effects of the use of hydrocortisones (secondary infection, mucosal atrophy, dermatitis), as well as adrenocortical suppression.
