Primafungyn Composition
active substance: natamycin;
1 g of cream contains natamycin 20 mg;
Excipients: tephos 63 (macrogol 300 and 1500, and ethylene glycol stearate), lauryl polyoxylglycerides, octyldodecyl myristate, isostearyl isostearate, benzoic acid (E 210), glycerin, purified water.

Dosage form
Homogeneous cream from almost white to yellowish color.

Pharmacological properties
Natamycin is a polyene antibiotic that has a fungicidal effect. Its antifungal properties are associated with a violation of the integrity of cell membranes when interacting at the level of sterol synthesis. Most pathogenic fungi, especially Candida albicans, are sensitive to natamycin.
Natamycin is active when applied topically and is not absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes.

Indications for use
Fungal skin lesions caused by Candida albicans.

Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Special caveats
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Pregnancy or breastfeeding
When using, the drug Primafungin is not absorbed into the mucous membranes and can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Children
Natamycin in the form of a cream is used for children of all ages.

Method of application and dosage
Primafungyn cream is applied to the affected areas of the skin 1-4 times a day daily.
The duration of therapy is 2-3 weeks.                                                                                                                               After the symptoms disappear completely, the drug is used for several days after treatment, in order to prevent the development of relapses.
The duration of use for each woman is determined individually.
During menstruation, treatment should be discontinued and continued after it ends.

Overdose
The use of Primafungin in high doses does not lead to any reactions or conditions dangerous to human life, since the drug is not absorbed through the mucous membrane.
In case of accidental ingestion, it is necessary to apply symptomatic treatment and take activated charcoal
