Dosage
Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected skin twice daily.
Indications
Protopic ointment is indicated for the treatment of eczema (atopic dermatitis) in patients who are unable to use other topical medications or have not responded to them.
Contraindications
- Avoid using Protopic if allergic to tacrolimus or any other ingredients in the ointment.
- Avoid in the presence of a skin infection in the treatment area.
Directions
Wash hands before and after applying the ointment. Apply a thin layer to affected areas and gently rub in. Do not cover treated skin unless advised by a healthcare provider.
