Scientific Evidence:
Rabeprazole, the active ingredient in Rabimak tablets, belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). PPIs work by irreversibly inhibiting the proton pumps in the stomach’s parietal cells, leading to a reduction in gastric acid secretion. This mechanism helps in the healing of acid-related disorders like GERD and ulcers.
Several studies have demonstrated the efficacy of rabeprazole in treating acid-related conditions. A study published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology showed that rabeprazole was effective in maintaining remission in patients with erosive GERD.
