Composition 

active ingredients: 1 capsule contains valerian 0.8% dry water-alcohol extract 125 mg, peppermint dry extract 25 mg, lemon balm dry medicinal extract 25 mg;

auxiliary substances: microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, heavy magnesium oxide, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate;

capsule shell: gelatin, azorubin (E 122), diamond black BN (E 151), patented blue V (E 131), quinoline yellow (E 104), titanium dioxide (E 171).

Capsules are hard.

The main physical and chemical properties: hard gelatin capsules with a green body and cap. The contents of the capsule are powder or compressed mass from brownish-brown to gray-brown in color with inclusions.

Pharmacological properties

Relaxil is a herbal medicine with a mild sedative effect.

The combination has a calming effect and is indicated for the elimination of transient nervous tension (as a daily sedative for mental stress, excitement, irritability).

Valeriana has a sedative effect. It has a positive effect on well-being with symptoms of irritation, such as restlessness, excitement and tension due to nervous overload. In case of insomnia, it helps to fall asleep faster.

Melissa also has a sedative and antispasmodic effect.

Peppermint is traditionally used in combination with valerian in soothing medicines.

The drug is used for neuroses, when the use of strong sedatives is impractical. Indications for its use are determined exclusively on the basis of long-term experience of use.

Neuroses accompanied by the following symptoms:

• tension caused by stress;
• sleep disorders

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to valerian, lemon balm, peppermint or other components of the medicinal product. Pronounced arterial hypotension, bronchial asthma. Depression or other conditions accompanied by depression of the central nervous system.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

It is not recommended to use the pharmaceutical drug Relaxil during the above periods.

Method of administration and dosage

Capsules must be swallowed whole, taken regardless of food, washed down with water.
In case of an agitated state, mental stress or irritability, use two Relaxil capsules twice a day. For sleep disorders, take two Relaxil capsules one hour before bedtime.

The effect of this pharmaceutical agent appears gradually. To obtain the optimal therapeutic effect, it is recommended to receive Relaxil for at least two weeks.

The duration of the course of therapy is determined by the attending physician. Even with prolonged use of this pharmaceutical agent, addiction is not observed, and after the termination of its use, the withdrawal syndrome does not develop.

Overdose

Relaxil overdose symptoms include fatigue, chest tightness, abdominal cramps, headaches, dizziness, mydriasis (dilated pupils), hand tremors, drowsiness, general weakness, nausea, lethargy, abdominal pain, decreased visual acuity and hearing , decreased concentration, tachycardia / bradycardia.
Treatment in case of an overdose with the drug Relaxil provides for the patient to perform gastric lavage, the administration of enterosorbents, and symptomatic therapy.

Side effects

Side effects that can be observed during the course of therapy with the pharmaceutical drug Relaxil include nausea, heartburn, abdominal cramps, and allergic reactions.

Very rarely, weakness, drowsiness, dizziness, deterioration of mood, depression of emotional reactions, decreased performance, depression are noted.

Hypersensitivity reactions are also possible (skin rashes, swelling of the skin, itching, urticaria, hyperemia (redness) of the skin).
