Composition

active substances: 1 g of rectal cream contains 1 mg of fluocortolone pivalate and 20 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride (anhydrous);

auxiliary substances: polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetostearyl alcohol, mineral oil, white soft paraffin, disodium edetate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, benzyl alcohol, purified water.

Pharmacological properties

This drug Relief Pro belongs to antibacterial combined preparations of local action, used in proctology.
The effect of the application is due to the properties of the main active ingredients, including lidocaine, fluocortolone pivalate.

Fluocortolone pivalate is an anti-inflammatory and antiallergic substance that also helps to reduce pain.
Lidocaine has such a mechanism of action, due to which it has the ability to block sodium channels. Such properties make it possible to stabilize the neuronal membrane, helping to reduce its permeability, and arresting the ability to conduct impulses. As a result, it has a quick analgesic effect.

Due to the fact that the preparation contains several active components, they complement each other, produce an enhanced effect from the application.

Indications

This drug Relief Pro is used to treat symptoms of pain, swelling, itching, burning, which are caused by:

  • hemorrhoids;
  • proctitis;
  • eczema in the anus (only for rectal cream).

Contraindications

Not applicable if the patient has hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components that make up the drug.

Also contraindicated for:

  • infectious processes in the area of ​​application of the drug;
  • specific skin processes (reactions after vaccination, tuberculosis, syphilis, chickenpox, genital herpes at the site of application of the drug.

Contact with eyes should be avoided.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Treatment of pregnant women with this drug is contraindicated.
During treatment, lactation should be suspended.

Method of administration and dosage

The drug Relief Pro rectal cream is used 2 times a day, after a bowel movement (bowel movement) and subsequent cleansing with warm, but not hot water in the anus.

The maximum duration of the course of treatment is 2 weeks.
Relief Pro rectal cream in the first few days of treatment can be applied up to 3 times a day. In the case when bowel movements occur without pain, it is permissible to use the drug once a day.

To apply rectal cream, a small amount of cream (the size of a pea) is rubbed with a finger in the area of ​​the anus and anus ring, overcoming the sphincter resistance with the tip of the finger.

For application inside the rectum, the applicator, which is supplied, is screwed onto the tube and inserted into the anus. Then a small amount of cream is squeezed into the rectum by squeezing the tube.

In case of significant inflammatory processes, it is advisable to apply the cream with a finger.

Overdose
