Composition
active substances: 1 capsule contains a mixture of ready-made components 451 mg, including: DL-methionine 100 mg, L-cystine 50 mg, calcium pantothenate 50 mg, thiamine hydrochloride 1.5 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride 10 mg, para-aminobenzoic acid 20 mg, millet extract 50 mg, wheat germ extract 50 mg, medical yeast 50 mg, complex of trace elements 65 mg (including iron 2 mg, zinc 2 mg, copper 0.5 mg);
auxiliary substances: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, gelatin, quinoline yellow (E 104), indigo carmine (E 132).

Capsules with a transparent light green body and a transparent dark green cap. The contents of the capsule are a heterogeneous powder of yellowish-brown color.

Pharmacological properties
The drug Revalid can replace the daily norm of vitamins, micro- and macroelements, as it contains substances necessary for normal growth, development and restoration of hair and nails. Revalid provides the body with substances necessary for building hair follicles, strengthening the lower layers of the skin, and maintaining the good appearance of the upper layer of hair.
The drug has a good effect on the hair structure, eliminates seborrhea, dandruff and itching. The chelation-forming microelements contained in the preparation have a high level of absorption. Millet extract (Extractum Milii flavi) contains a large amount of biologically active silicon, which plays an essential role in the biosynthesis of keratin and connective tissue.
In addition to the content of various B vitamins, medical yeast (Faex medicinalis), the drug is rich in biocatalysts necessary for cell growth. Wheat germ extract (Extractum Tritici germinis) contains a significant amount of sterol, lecithin, vitamins A, D and E, as well as linoleic acid.
Active ingredients are quickly absorbed from the digestive tract and distributed throughout the body. Different vitamins are transported in blood plasma in free form or bound to different proteins.
Indications
Revalid is prescribed as a medicine that is used to treat:
- diffuse hair loss (for unknown reasons);
- hair loss caused by pregnancy, childbirth, illness, side effects from medication;
- degenerative changes in the structure of hair (thin, hard, brittle, dull, colorless);
- sun-damaged hair;
- violations of nail growth (fragility, delamination, inflexibility).
Thiamine, which is part of the preparation, helps to increase resistance to hypoxia, stress, improves energy metabolism, calcium D-pantothenate reduces hair oxygen demand, and keratin itself is the main structural protein of the hair, preventing its dehydration, giving hair strength, elasticity, vitality and shine …
These, as well as other vitamins and trace elements that make up the drug, are needed in order to ensure active hair growth, filling them with vitality.
Contraindications
Not applicable if the patient has hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components that make up the drug.
You should consult your doctor before taking this drug with sulfonamides.
It is not used for alopecia associated with hormonal disorders.
In pediatrics, it can be used from the age of 12.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
This medicinal product is not used during pregnancy or lactation.
Method of administration and dosage
This drug Revalid is taken with food. The Revalid capsule is drunk without breaking or chewing, drinking plenty of water.
The recommended dosage is 1 capsule three times a day. In case of significant hair loss, the dose is doubled by taking 2 capsules 3 times a day.
Children from 12 to 18 years old take 1 capsule one to two times a day.
Signs of improvement in hair quality and growth are noticeable after two to three weeks of use.
The duration of the treatment course is determined by the attending physician. On average, treatment lasts from 2 to 3 months. If necessary, the course of treatment can be increased.
Overdose
Overdose with this drug has not been observed at the moment. In case of an accidental overdose, symptomatic treatment is recommended, detoxification measures – gastric lavage, intake of sorbents.
Side effects
Usually this drug is well tolerated by patients.
However, in rare cases (when taking 6 or more capsules per day), you may experience:
- headache;
- irritability;
- heartburn, flatulence, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting.
If these symptoms appear, the dosage should be reduced.
If any unusual side effects occur due to the use of this drug, you should consult your doctor about possible changes in the treatment regimen.
