Scientific Evidence:
Dorzolamide, the active ingredient in Rozalin, is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that works by decreasing the production of aqueous humor in the eye, thereby lowering intraocular pressure. Studies have shown that dorzolamide is effective in reducing intraocular pressure and is well-tolerated by patients.
Additional Information:
Rozalin eye drops may cause temporary stinging or blurred vision upon application. It is important to wait at least 10 minutes before using any other eye drops your doctor has prescribed. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience any persistent or severe side effects.
Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of dorzolamide in reducing intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma. In a study published in the Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, dorzolamide was found to be as effective as timolol, a commonly used glaucoma medication, in lowering intraocular pressure.
