Azelaic acid, the key component of Skinoren cream, exerts its pharmacological effects by normalizing the keratinization process in the pilosebaceous unit, reducing the formation of comedones, and exerting anti-inflammatory actions. This multifaceted approach makes it a valuable treatment option for acne.
Clinical trials have highlighted the efficacy of Skinoren cream in reducing both inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions, leading to significant improvements in overall skin appearance and patient satisfaction. The cream’s tolerability profile and ease of use further contribute to its popularity among dermatologists and patients alike.
