Sincumar (acenocoumarol) Tablets 2 mg. №50

Ingredients:

  • Each tablet contains 2 mg of acenocoumarol as the active ingredient.

Dosage:

  • The usual dose is 1 to 8 mg daily, taken orally in divided doses.

Indications:

  • Sincumar tablets are indicated for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders.

Contraindications:

  • Do not use Sincumar in patients with hypersensitivity to acenocoumarol or other coumarin derivatives.

Directions:

  • Follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Scientific Evidence:

Studies have shown that acenocoumarol effectively inhibits the synthesis of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors, thereby preventing the formation of blood clots. Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of acenocoumarol in reducing the risk of thromboembolic events in patients with various cardiovascular conditions.

Additional Information:

  • Sincumar tablets should be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, as dosage adjustments may be necessary.
  • Regular monitoring of prothrombin time is essential to ensure the appropriate anticoagulant effect.
  • Inform healthcare providers about all medications, including over-the-counter drugs and dietary supplements, before starting acenocoumarol therapy.

Acenocoumarol, a vitamin K antagonist, exerts its anticoagulant effects by interfering with the cyclic interconversion of vitamin K and its 2,3 epoxide. This disruption leads to the depletion of functional vitamin K-dependent clotting factors, ultimately inhibiting the coagulation cascade and preventing the formation of blood clots.
