Scientific Evidence:
Tizanidine, the active ingredient in Sirdalud, acts as a centrally acting alpha-2 adrenergic agonist. It exerts its muscle relaxant effects by inhibiting the release of excitatory neurotransmitters in the spinal cord, leading to a reduction in muscle tone. Several studies have demonstrated the efficacy of tizanidine in reducing muscle spasticity and improving functional outcomes in patients with various neurological disorders.
One study published in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry showed that tizanidine significantly reduced muscle tone and improved muscle spasms in patients with multiple sclerosis compared to placebo. Another study in the European Journal of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine found that tizanidine effectively reduced spasticity in individuals with spinal cord injury.

- Pregnancy and Lactation: Consult your doctor before using Sirdalud if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
- Side Effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, and dry mouth. Notify your healthcare provider if these side effects persist or worsen.
