Sorcef (cefixime) Granules for Oral Suspension 100 mg/5 ml. 60 ml Vial
Ingredients:
Each 5 ml of oral suspension contains 100 mg of cefixime.
Dosage:
The recommended dosage for Sorcef oral suspension is as follows:
- Children under 6 months: Not recommended
- Children 6 months to 12 years: 8 mg/kg/day in two divided doses
- Adults and children over 12 years: 400 mg daily in single or two divided doses
Indications:
Sorcef oral suspension is indicated for the treatment of:
- Acute bacterial otitis media
- Pharyngitis and tonsillitis
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections
Contraindications:
Do not use Sorcef oral suspension if:
- You are allergic to cefixime or other cephalosporins
- You have a history of severe allergic reactions to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics
Directions:
Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the prescribed dose using the provided measuring device. Administer the suspension orally with or without food.
