Ingredients:

Each 5 ml of the oral suspension contains 200 mg of azithromycin. Other ingredients include sucrose, sodium phosphate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, xanthan gum, cherry flavor, and other inactive components.

Dosage:

The recommended dosage for Sumamed Forte is as follows:

• Children under 45 kg: 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days
• Adults and children over 45 kg: 500 mg once daily for 3 days

Indications:

Sumamed Forte is indicated for the treatment of: bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and sexually transmitted diseases caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.

Contraindications:

Do not use Sumamed Forte if:

• You are allergic to azithromycin or any other macrolide antibiotics
• You have a history of liver problems
• You are taking ergotamine or dihydroergotamine

Directions:

Shake the suspension well before each use. Measure the dose using the provided measuring device. Take Sumamed Forte as directed by your healthcare provider, usually on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
