Pharmacological properties
The drug Tireoidea compositum regulates the function of the thyroid gland, has detoxifying, lymphatic drainage, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory effect. The action of the drug is based on the normalization of impaired functions of the endocrine glands and the activation of the body’s defenses due to substances of plant, mineral and animal origin that are part of it.
Indication
In the complex treatment of thyroid dysfunction, to normalize the functions of endocrine glands, as well as connective tissue functions, especially in precancerous conditions, hypernephromas, progressive muscular dystrophy, myxedema, fibroplastic induration of the penis, obesity, bronchosclerosis and arthrosis, bronchosclerosis adhesive disease.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
In case of acute inflammation and fever, treatment should be discontinued until symptoms resolve.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Do not use the drug during pregnancy. There are no clinical data on the use of the drug during breastfeeding.
Ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving a car or working with other mechanisms
Given that sensitive patients may experience adverse reactions (lowering of blood pressure) during the use of the drug, for the period of treatment should refrain from driving or operating other machinery.
Method of application and dosage
Single dose: adults and children over 12 years – 1 ampoule of 2.2 ml. Use as intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal and, if necessary, intravenous injections 1-3 times a week.
The course of treatment is 4-6 weeks.
Depending on the course of the disease and the patient’s condition, the doctor may change the duration of treatment and method of application (injections into acupuncture points).
Children
The drug Tireoidea compositum is recommended for the treatment of children over 12 years of age.
Overdose
There may be an increase in the manifestations of adverse reactions.
Side effects
Hyperthyroidism may worsen.
In rare cases, nausea, upset stomach, dizziness, high blood pressure or fluctuations in blood sugar may occur. Occasionally there may be changes in the injection site. In this case, it is necessary to temporarily interrupt treatment.
Decreased body temperature, local inflammatory reactions around the injection site, and short-term slight enlargement of regional lymph nodes are not considered harmful.
In the presence of mistletoe intolerance, there may be isolated cases of local or systemic allergic reactions or allergy-like reactions, such as widespread itching, urticaria, rash, facial edema (Quincke’s edema), tremor, convulsions, difficulty breathing, sudden drop in blood pressure; such reactions require discontinuation of the drug and immediate medical attention.
Sometimes there may be activation of inflammation (chronic sinusitis, basal granulomas).
