Scientific Evidence

Xylometazoline, the active ingredient in Tizin Xylo nasal drops, is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist that constricts blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, leading to decreased swelling and congestion. Studies have shown that xylometazoline provides rapid and effective relief from nasal congestion with minimal systemic side effects.

Additional Information

It is important to read the package leaflet before using Tizin Xylo nasal drops. Store the product below 25°C and out of reach of children. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional. Avoid using the drops concurrently with other nasal decongestants.

Pharmacological Effects: Xylometazoline acts locally on the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and congestion by constricting blood vessels. This action helps improve airflow through the nasal passages, providing quick relief from congestion.

Clinical Trials: Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of xylometazoline in relieving nasal congestion. A study by Eccles et al. (2007) showed that xylometazoline nasal drops provided significant and rapid relief from nasal congestion compared to placebo, with improvements in nasal airflow and patient-reported symptoms.
