Composition

active substances: sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate;

1 ml of solution contains 5 mg of sodium chloride, 1 mg of potassium chloride, 4 mg of sodium bicarbonate;

Excipient: water for injections.

Basic physical and chemical properties: transparent colorless liquid;

ionic composition per 1000 ml of the drug: Na + – 133.16 mmol, K + – 13.41 mmol, Cl¯ – 98.96 mmol, HCO3¯ – 48.42 mmol;

theoretical osmolarity 293 mOsm / l; pH 8.1-8.9.

Pharmacological properties

Saline plasma replacement solution has a detoxifying effect. Prevents blood clotting and the development of metabolic acidosis, reduces hypovolemia, improves microcirculation, functional state of the heart and kidneys, increases diuresis.

Indications

It is used as a blood purifier for intoxication and dehydration. It is recommended for the treatment of cholera, dysentery in the acute period, and foodborne diseases.
Thins the blood, reduces the state of metabolic acidosis, has the property of improving blood circulation in the capillaries, as well as the functional ability of the heart and kidneys. In general, it is able to effectively remove poisonous, harmful substances from the body.

Contraindications

It is not prescribed for an allergic reaction of hypersensitivity to individual components of the drug. This pharmaceutical should not be used if the patient is diagnosed with edema of the brain, lungs, alkalosis, hyperkalemia, hypernatremia, hyperhydration, and impaired renal excretory function.
In pediatrics, it is prescribed only in cases of extreme necessity, with resuscitation measures.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

There is no data on its complete safety for women during the period of bearing a child.

Method of administration and dosage

Trisol solution should be administered intravenously by jet or drip. Before use, heat the solution to 36-38 oC. In severe forms of pathological processes to be injected, and then switch to intravenous drip (40-120 drops per minute for 24-48 hours). In case of emergency rehydration therapy in case of hypovolemic shock, Trisol solution should be injected within 1-3 hours. The total amount of solution injected should correspond to the volume of fluid lost. But usually during the first hour should be administered in an amount equal to 7-10% of body weight.

The drug should be used to monitor laboratory parameters and hemodynamic parameters. The highest daily dose is 3 liters.

Children are given intravenously (jet or drip) in the amount needed to restore lost fluid.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, the manifestations of side effects may increase – the appearance of edema, tachycardia, hyperkalemia, hypernatremia, overhydration, chills, alkalosis (violation of the acid-base balance in the body).
