Trittico (trazodone hydrochloride) prolonged release tablets 150 mg. №30
Composition
active ingredient: trazodone hydrochloride;
1 tablet contains trazodone hydrochloride 75 mg or 150 mg;
excipients: sucrose, carnauba wax, povidone, magnesium stearate.
Dosage form
Prolonged action tablets.
Basic physical and chemical properties:
75 mg tablets: white to yellowish-white oblong biconvex tablets with two lines on both sides;
150 mg tablets: white to yellowish white oblong biconvex tablets with two lines on both sides.

Pharmacological properties
The drug Trittico tablets combines antidepressant (thymoleptic) with anxiolytic (tranquilizing) action. Selectively inhibits neuronal reuptake of serotonin, blocks α-adrenergic receptors.
It is quickly and completely absorbed in the digestive tract; simultaneous food intake slows down the absorption of trazodone. Cmax in blood plasma is reached approximately 1 hour after administration. Penetrates through histohematogenous barriers, including the BBB. Penetrates into tissues and secretions (bile, saliva, breast milk, etc.). In the liver, it undergoes biotransformation. Elimination is biphasic with T1 / 2 in the first phase 36 hours, and 59 hours in the second. Cumulation in the body is possible. It is excreted mainly in the urine unchanged and in the form of metabolites.
Indications
Depressive disorders with/without anxiety.
Contraindications:
- known hypersensitivity to the drug or its components;
- alcohol intoxication and intoxication with sleeping pills;
- acute myocardial infarction.
Dosage and administration
Trittico tablets should only be used by adults.
A tablet with two parallel lines on the surface can be divided into three parts to allow gradual increase in dose depending on the severity of the disease, body weight, age and general condition of the patient.
Therapy should begin with evening doses with a daily dose increase as recommended by the doctor.
Long-acting tablets are prescribed before or after meals.
Treatment should last at least 1 month.
Dose: 75-150 mg/day taken once in the evening before bed.
The dose can be increased to 300 mg/day, which should be divided into two doses.
For patients who are hospitalized, the dose can be increased to 600 mg / day, which should be divided into several doses.
Children
Do not use for children.
Overdose
More often with an overdose, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting are observed. In difficult cases, coma, tachycardia, arterial hypotension, hyponatremia, convulsions and respiratory failure occurred.
Cardiac symptoms may include bradycardia, QT interval prolongation, and polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (torsade de pointes).
Symptoms may appear within 24 hours of an overdose or later.
Simultaneous overdose of trazodone and other antidepressants may cause serotonin syndrome.
Side effects
Cases of suicidal ideation and suicidal behavior have been reported during or after trazodone therapy.
The following symptoms have also been reported in patients treated with trazodone, some of which are common in cases of untreated depression.
