Composition

active substances: 100 ml of the drug contain tinctures (1:10) from a mixture of medicinal plant raw materials “Ugrin”: millefolii herba (yarrow herb) 1.5 g; menthae folia (mint leaves) 1.5 g; calendulae officinalis flores (calendula) 1.5 g; tanaceti flores (tansy flowers) 1.5 g; lavandulae herba (lavender grass) 1.0 g; chelidoni herba (celandine herb) 1.0 g; chamomillae recutitae flores (chamomile flowers) 2.0 g; (extractant: ethanol 40%).

Excipients: no other than extractant.

Dosage form

Tincture.

Main physical and chemical properties: clear red-brown liquid with a fragrant specific odor. During storage, precipitation is allowed.

Pharmacological properties

This drug Ugrin is included in the group of antiseptic drugs used topically in dermatology.
The main active ingredients of the drug are yarrow, calendula (marigold), tansy, lavender, celandine, chamomile, mint.
Calendula (medicinal marigold) is a plant from the Aster family. It has long been used by various peoples as a wound-healing, bactericidal and anti-inflammatory agent. Calendula flowers produce these effects due to the presence of biologically active components. They are contained inside the flowers and flower baskets of the plant. And they contain flavonoid and carotenoid glycosides. Calendula owes its mechanism of action to the presence of saponins, tannins, essential oils, organic acids in its composition.
Chamomile has a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect. Mint – works as an antispasmodic, analgesic and choleretic drug.
These and other specified components, when applied, have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory effect, have a sedative, wound-healing and disinfecting effect on the skin.

Indications

It is used as a local antiseptic as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent for:

  •  acne and oily seborrhea of ​​the face of mild to moderate severity;
  •  pyoderma;
  •  dermatitis.

Contraindications

The drug in question is contraindicated for use in cases where the patient has severe hypersensitivity (allergy) to the main or to one of the auxiliary components.
In case of simultaneous use with any other drugs, you should inform your doctor about it.
The safety and efficacy of using the drug for children under 12 years of age have not been established, therefore, the drug can be prescribed to this category of patients only after a thorough assessment of the risk / benefit ratio (as prescribed by a doctor)

Application during pregnancy and lactation

This drug is not recommended for pregnant women.
If it is necessary to take the drug during breastfeeding, lactation is suspended.

Method of application and dosage

Ugrin is applied externally. With acne and oily seborrhea of ​​the face, wipe the affected areas of skin with a cotton swab soaked in the drug, 3-5 times a day, without rinsing or wiping for 1.5-2 hours. Patients are advised not to squeeze acne. The course of treatment is 3-15 days. After 10-15 days, the treatment can be repeated. During treatment, the skin should be washed in the morning and evening with warm water and baby soap, be sure to rinse with cold water.

In dermatitis and pyoderma, the drug should be applied to the affected areas of the skin in an even layer 3-5 times a day. The course of treatment is 1 month. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated.

As a prophylactic, Ugrin should be used as follows: wipe oily and normal skin 1-3 times a day with a cotton swab soaked in the drug.

The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Children

The drug is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age, as it contains 40% ethanol.

Overdose

Overdose has not been reported. In theory, ingestion can cause alcohol poisoning due to the ethanol content.
In case of accidental ingestion, you should rinse the stomach, take enterosorbents, treat the symptoms.

Side effects

The use of the drug rarely causes side effects, as it is well tolerated.
In some cases, reactions from the immune system in the form of allergic reactions may occur, including skin redness, rash, itching, angioedema.
In case of any adverse reactions, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor for advice.
