Umcalor (pelargonium sidoides) coated tablets 20 mg. №15

Composition

active ingredient: liquid extract from the roots of Pelargonium sidoides (Pelargonium sidoides) (EPs® 7630), dried;

1 film-coated tablet contains 20 mg of liquid extract from Pelargonium sidoides roots (EPs® 7630) (1:8-10), dried (extractant: ethanol 11% (m/m));

excipients: maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromelose 5 MPa, macrogol 1500, iron oxide yellow (E172), iron oxide red (E172), titanium dioxide (E171), talc, simethicone, methylcellulose, sorbic acid.

Dosage form

Film-coated tablets.

Basic physical and chemical properties: round, red-brown tablets, film-coated.

Means used for coughs and colds. Code ATX R05.

Pharmacological properties

The drug Umcalor contains an extract from the roots of sedum pelargonium (Pelargonium sidoides), which is native to South Africa.

In animal studies, after oral administration of the extract in mice, it was demonstrated: alleviation of the course of the disease (non-specific symptoms of the disease in the context of infection) and antioxidant properties.

Indications

Acute and chronic infections of the respiratory tract and ENT organs (bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillar tonsillitis, nasopharyngitis).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug; increased tendency to bleeding, taking drugs that slow down the process of blood clotting. Severe diseases of the liver and kidneys.

Dosage and administration

Adults and children over the age of 12: 1 tablet 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening); children from 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet 2 times a day (morning and evening).

Umcalor is recommended to be taken without chewing, with a small amount of liquid.

In addition, in order to prevent relapse, it is recommended to continue treatment for a few more days after the symptoms of the disease disappear. The average duration of the course of treatment is 7-10 days.

The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.

If symptoms persist for more than 1 week without improvement with the use of the drug, you should consult your doctor.

Children

Assign to children from 6 years.

Overdose

So far, there have been no reports of cases of overdose.

Side effects

Adverse reactions reported with the use of the drug, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea).
