Scientific Evidence

Ursodeoxycholic acid, the active ingredient in Ursochol, exerts its therapeutic effects by reducing the concentration of hydrophobic bile acids in the liver and stabilizing the bile flow. This action helps to improve liver function and bile flow, making it effective in the treatment of various liver and gallbladder conditions.

Several clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of ursodeoxycholic acid in improving liver function tests, reducing liver enzyme levels, and promoting bile flow in patients with primary biliary cholangitis and other hepatobiliary disorders. Research studies have also shown its potential in preventing the formation of cholesterol gallstones.

Additional Information

It is important to take Ursochol capsules as prescribed by your healthcare provider to achieve the best therapeutic outcomes. Regular monitoring of liver function tests may be necessary during treatment to assess the response to therapy and adjust the dosage if needed.

Consult your doctor before using Ursochol if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any underlying medical conditions. Inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are currently taking to avoid potential drug interactions.
