Description

Clinical Pharmacology:

Potassium-sparing diuretic.

Indications for Use

Essential hypertension (as part of combination therapy);
Edematous syndrome in chronic heart failure (can be used as monotherapy and in combination with standard therapy);
Conditions in which secondary hyperaldosteronism may be present, including liver cirrhosis accompanied by ascites and/or edema, nephrotic syndrome, as well as other conditions accompanied by edema;
Hypokalemia/hypomagnesemia (as an adjunctive measure for its prevention during diuretic treatment and when other methods of potassium correction are not possible);
Primary hyperaldosteronism (Conn’s syndrome) – for a short preoperative course of treatment;
For the diagnosis of primary hyperaldosteronism.
