Pharmacological properties
This pharmaceutical drug refers to drugs used for the local treatment of acne.
The main active ingredient is clindamycin. Due to clindamycin phosphate – a semi-synthetic antibacterial drug, a derivative of lincamycin, an inhibitor of protein synthesis of pathological bacteria – the processes of peptide chain formation are inhibited at their initial stage.
Has antibacterial activity against more gram-positive microorganisms. Anaerobes and simple microorganisms are also exposed to the drug. Fungi and viruses cannot be treated with this drug.
Clindamycin has the ability to inhibit (inhibit) the activity of cultures of bacteria “propionibacterium acne”. Suppression of the growth of these bacteria inside the sebaceous glands and follicles reduces the concentration of FFA in the sebum.
Also has an anti-inflammatory effect.
It should be noted that in the process of clinical use of the drug was found cross-addiction (resistance) of clindamycin and erythromycin.
