Zipelor (benzidamine hydrochloride) forte spray for the oral cavity 3 mg/ml. 30 ml. vial №1

Composition

active ingredient: benzydamine;

1 ml of spray contains benzydamine hydrochloride 3.0 mg;

excipients: ethanol 96%, glycerin, methyl paraben (E 218), sodium saccharin, macrogol glyceryl hydroxystearate, mint flavor, purified water.

Dosage form

Spray for the oral cavity.

Basic physical and chemical properties: colorless transparent liquid with a characteristic smell of mint.

Pharmacological group

Means for use in dentistry. Other agents for topical use in the oral cavity.

Pharmacological properties

Zipelor forte spray (benzydamine) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antiexudative properties.

In clinical studies, Zipelor forte spray has been shown to be effective in relieving symptoms associated with localized irritant pathological processes in the mouth and throat. In addition, benzydamine has an anti-inflammatory and local analgesic effect on the oral mucosa.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of irritations and inflammations of the oropharynx; pain caused by gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis; in dentistry, they are used after tooth extraction or for prophylactic purposes.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the drug.

Dosage and administration

Before use, you must install a nebulizer.

When the pump is pressed, an aerosol is formed containing 1 spray dose – 0.17 ml, which corresponds to 0.51 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride.

Adults: 2 – 4 sprays 2 – 6 times a day.
Do not exceed recommended doses.

Children

The drug is not used in children (under 18 years of age).

Overdose

There have been no reports of overdose with this drug when applied topically. However, it is known that the active ingredient when ingested in large doses (hundreds of times higher than therapeutic doses of this dosage form) can cause intoxication.
Symptoms: palpitations, abdominal cramps, hallucinations, vomiting, anxiety, fear, fever, convulsions, ataxia (incoordination), respiratory depression.
Treatment of overdose: gastric lavage, use of enterosorbents (eg, activated charcoal), medical supervision, symptomatic, supportive therapy.

Side effects:

  • neurological disorders: cephalgia (headache), vertigo (dizziness);
  • local reactions: dryness, burning in the mouth, numbness, swelling, discoloration of the tongue;
  • allergic reactions: skin rash, photosensitization (sensitivity to the sun), angioneurotic edema, pruritus, laryngospasm, anaphylaxis, up to shock.
