Cardipril (ramipril) capsules 5 mg. №30

Ingredients

Each Cardipril capsule contains 5 mg of ramipril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. The other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, and magnesium stearate.

Dosage

The recommended starting dose of Cardipril is 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. However, the dose is usually not more than 10 mg per day.

Indications

Cardipril is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It is also used to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Contraindications

• Cardipril should not be taken by patients with a known allergy to ramipril or any other ACE inhibitor.
• It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatment with an ACE inhibitor.

Directions

Cardipril should be taken once a day, preferably at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.
