Ingredients

The active ingredient in Carizon Ointment is clobetasol propionate, a potent corticosteroid. Each gram of the ointment contains 0.5 mg of clobetasol propionate.

Dosage

The dosage of Carizon Ointment depends on the condition being treated. However, it is generally recommended to apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area once or twice daily.

Indications

Carizon Ointment is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. These may include conditions like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.

Contraindications

Carizon Ointment is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to clobetasol propionate, to other corticosteroids, or to any of the ingredients in the ointment. It should not be used on the face, underarms, or groin area unless directed by a physician.

Directions

Apply a thin layer of Carizon Ointment to the affected skin areas once or twice daily and rub in gently and completely. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated skin area unless directed by a physician.

• Note: The ointment is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes.
• Warning: Use of the ointment for longer than 2 weeks consecutively is generally not recommended.
