Ingredients

The active ingredient in each 4 ml ampoule of Ceraxon is 500 mg of citicoline sodium.

Dosage

The dosage of Ceraxon depends on the condition being treated. However, the standard dosage is one ampoule (500 mg) administered intravenously or intramuscularly once or twice daily.

Indications

Ceraxon is indicated for the treatment of neurological disorders such as stroke and traumatic brain injury. It may also be used in the management of cognitive and behavioural disorders in the elderly.

Contraindications

• Patients with a known hypersensitivity to citicoline or any other component of the formulation should not use Ceraxon.
• It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment.
