Ingredients:
Each tablet contains 5 mg of amlodipine besilate and 80 mg of valsartan.
Mechanism of Action:
Amlodipine inhibits calcium ion influx across cell membranes, leading to vasodilation and decreased peripheral vascular resistance. Valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, further reducing blood pressure.
