Dormiplant Composition
active ingredients: dry extract of valerian root; dry extract of lemon balm leaves;

1 coated tablet contains 160 mg of dry extract of valerian root (Valeriana officinalis) (3-6: 1) [extractant: ethanol 62% (v / v)]; 80 mg dry extract of lemon balm leaves (Melissa officinalis) (4-6: 1) [extractant: ethanol 30% (v / v)];

auxiliary substances: sucrose, crospovidone, hydrogenated castor oil, silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, stearic acid, titanium dioxide (E 171), indigo (E 132), talc, sodium saccharin, vanillin, simethicone, sorbinic cellulose, methyl cellulose acid.

Film-coated tablets.

Pharmacodynamics
The extracts of valerian and lemon balm, which are part of the drug, have a calming effect, and also help to improve falling asleep and sleep.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
In some patients, it can enhance the effect of alcohol, sedatives, hypnotics, antihypertensives, anxiolytic, antispasmodic and analgesic drugs. This combination requires medical diagnosis and supervision.

Clinical interactions with drugs that are metabolized by CYP 2D6, CYP 3A4 / 5, CYP 1A2 or CYP 2E1 have not been observed.

The effect of drugs with valerian roots can be enhanced in case of simultaneous intake of large amounts of alcohol.

Application features
When using the drug, you must refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages.

Patients who must have severe liver dysfunction or have had severe liver disease in the past should be careful when using the drug.

There may be a specific sensitivity to valerian odor.

If you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medication.

Hydrogenated castor oil can cause indigestion and diarrhea.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving or operating machinery
The drug may affect the reaction rate when driving or using other mechanisms. Therefore, it should not be taken 2:00 before driving or other machinery.

Since in some patients, valerian preparations can cause drowsiness, depression, during treatment, care should be taken when driving or operating other mechanisms.

Use during pregnancy or lactation
Since there are no results of experimental studies on the use of valerian root and lemon balm leaves during pregnancy and lactation, Dormiplant is not used for women during pregnancy and lactation.

Method of administration and dosage
For sleep disorders, adults and children over 12 years old, take 2 tablets half an hour – 1 hour before bedtime.

For conditions of anxiety, adults and children over 12 years of age, take 2 tablets up to 3 times a day.

Dormiplant should be taken without chewing, regardless of food intake, with a small amount of liquid.

The duration of use is determined by the doctor depending on the therapeutic effect.

If, despite adherence to the prescribed dosage, there is no improvement in the condition, the patient should inform the doctor about it.

Children
The drug should be prescribed to children aged 12 years and older, as there is insufficient data.

Overdose
In case of an overdose, an increase in adverse reactions is possible. The following are the symptoms that are commonly observed with an overdose of valerian medications: lethargy, general weakness, trembling hands, dilated pupils, a feeling of constriction in the chest, cramping abdominal pain. Also, in case of an overdose, there may be depression, lethargy, depression of emotional reactions, dizziness, drowsiness, decreased performance, headache, bradycardia, arrhythmia, hypotensive state, vegetative-vascular dystonia of the hypotonic type.

Treatment: in case of overdose, the drug should be discontinued. Therapy is symptomatic.
