Scientific Evidence

Studies have shown that terbinafine, the active ingredient in Lamizil cream, effectively inhibits the growth of dermatophytes responsible for fungal infections. Research published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology demonstrated the superior efficacy of terbinafine in treating athlete’s foot compared to other antifungal agents.

Additional Information

It is important to continue using Lamizil cream for the full prescribed treatment duration, even if symptoms improve. If irritation or rash occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. Store the cream at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

Pharmacological Effects: Terbinafine works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal cell death. This antifungal action helps eliminate the infection and relieve associated symptoms.

Clinical Trials: Clinical trials have demonstrated the high efficacy and safety profile of Lamizil cream in treating various fungal skin infections. In a randomized controlled trial published in the British Journal of Dermatology, Lamizil cream showed a significant improvement in symptoms and mycological cure rates compared to placebo.
