Description
Levomak Storage:
active substance: levofloxacin;
1 tablet contains levofloxacin hemihydrate equivalent to levofloxacin 250 mg or 500 mg;
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, polysorbate 80, crospovidone, talc, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron oxide red (E 17) prolide red (E 17) , diethyl phthalate.

Levomak Clinical characteristics.
Indication.
Adults with mild or moderate infections Levomak is prescribed for the treatment of such infections caused by levofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms: acute sinusitis, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections, skin infections, and skin infections. , chronic bacterial prostatitis.
Contraindication.
Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones, to any component of the drug, epilepsy, complaints of side effects from tendons after previous use of quinolones.
Method of application and dosage.
The drug is taken 1 or 2 times a day. The dose depends on the type and severity of the infection. The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease. It is recommended to continue treatment with the drug for at least 48-72 hours after normalization of body temperature or confirmed by microbiological tests of destruction of pathogens.
Levomak tablets should be swallowed without chewing, drinking plenty of fluids. If necessary, the tablet can be divided along the line for distribution. You can take them with food or at other times.
Overdose.
Symptoms: dizziness, disturbance / confusion, seizures, tremor, QT interval prolongation; reactions from the gastrointestinal tract, such as nausea and erosion of mucous membranes, increased manifestations of other side effects. In cases of overdose, the patient should be closely monitored, including ECG.
Treatment: symptomatic. In case of acute overdose, gastric lavage is prescribed. Antacids are used to protect the gastric mucosa.
Hemodialysis, including peritoneal dialysis or HAPD, is not effective in removing levofloxacin from the body. There are no specific antidotes.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Due to the lack of research and possible damage to the growing cartilage of quinolones in the growing body, the drug should not be prescribed to pregnant and lactating women. If pregnancy is diagnosed during treatment, the doctor should be informed.
Children.
Children (under 18 years of age) are contraindicated to use the drug, as damage to articular cartilage is not excluded.
