Pharmacological properties
Combined herbal hepatoprotective agent. Protects the liver parenchyma from toxic agents. The hepatoprotective effect of the drug is due to the antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing properties of its components. The drug increases the level of endogenous tocopherols in hepatocytes and the level of cytochrome P450. Liv.52 stimulates the biosynthesis of proteins and phospholipids. Promotes the reconstruction of hepatocytes, reduces degenerative, fatty and fibrous changes, enhances intracellular metabolism.
The drug regulates the level of plasma proteins in the blood, normalizes the albumin / globulin ratio. Provides normalization of plasma transaminases, cholesterol, triglycerides, reducing the manifestations of dyslipidemia. Reduces bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase. Increases the liver’s ability to store glycogen.
Improves the colloidal properties of bile, prevents the formation of gallstones. Improves the contractile function of the gallbladder. Improves the processes of digestion and assimilation of food. Stimulates hematopoiesis.
In alcoholic liver disease, the drug reduces the level of ethanol in the blood and urine; increases the activity of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, which helps to reduce the level of acetaldehyde; prevents the binding of acetaldehyde to cell proteins, accelerates its excretion.
