Pharmacological properties
This drug Liveria IC is one of the drugs used to treat alcohol dependence.
The main active ingredient is metadoxin. This substance, when used appropriately, has anti-alcoholic, detoxifying and hepatoprotective properties. It is able to activate liver enzymes involved in the metabolic processes of ethanol, which helps to accelerate the process of removing ethyl alcohol and acetaldehyde from the human body, reducing their toxic effects. Increases the resistance of hepatocytes, products of fat oxidation induced by the influence of various toxins, including ethanol.
Prevents the accumulation of lipids in hepatocytes, which is the prevention of the development of fatty liver infiltration. It prevents the formation of fibronectin and collagen, which, in turn, inhibits the development of liver cirrhosis. It activates the systems of neurotransmitters, as a result of which there is an improvement in the acuity of thinking and short-term memory. Produces a prophylactic effect in case of motor excitement caused by the use of ethanol. It has a nonspecific antidepressant and anxolytic effect, reducing the craving for alcohol.
Reduces the relief of withdrawal symptoms, reducing mental and somatic manifestations of the hangover syndrome.
