Scientific Evidence
Studies have shown that the combination of losartan potassium and hydrochlorothiazide in Lorista H provides an additive antihypertensive effect. Losartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to constrict, while hydrochlorothiazide helps the body remove excess salt and water by increasing urine production.
Research published in the Journal of Clinical Hypertension demonstrated that the combination of losartan and hydrochlorothiazide effectively reduces blood pressure in patients with hypertension, with a good safety profile.
