Ingredients

Active ingredient: Metronidazole
Other ingredients: Sodium chloride, citric acid, sodium hydroxide, and water for injections.

Dosage

Dosage: The usual dose is 500 mg infused over 30 minutes to 1 hour every 8 hours.

Indications

Indicated for: Treatment of intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bacterial septicemia, bone and joint infections, and central nervous system infections.

Contraindications

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to metronidazole or other nitroimidazole derivatives, first-trimester pregnancy, and lactation.

Directions

Administration: Administer by slow intravenous infusion. Do not mix with other drugs.
