Pharmacological properties
Micomax is an antimicrobial drug intended for use in dermatological and gynecological practice in the treatment of mycoses.
Fluconazole, in particular, is capable of actively affecting the bacteria Cryptococci and various fungi of the genus “Candida” (except for the species “Candida crush”). It has the property of selectively affecting cytochrome P-450.
It has the property of converting lanosterol of mycotic cells, converting them into ergosterol, which is a membrane lipid.
As a result, in fungal cells, the synthesis of sterols is suppressed, the integrity of the cell membrane is disrupted and the fungal cell dies.
Thus, fluconazole has an effective fungistatic effect, active against opportunistic mycotic microorganisms.
Not effective against fungi of the genus “Aspergillus”.
Does not produce antiandrogenic effect.
