Description
Neofen Belupo Plus (ibuprofen) gel 50 mg/g. 50 g. tube №1
Ingredients:
Each gram of Neofen Belupo Plus gel contains 50 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Other ingredients include carbomer, diisopropanolamine, ethyl alcohol, purified water, and propylene glycol.
Dosage:
Apply a thin layer of Neofen Belupo Plus gel to the affected area 3-4 times a day. Rub gently until absorbed. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Indications:
Neofen Belupo Plus gel is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, sprains, and strains. It provides localized relief without the systemic side effects often seen with oral NSAIDs.
Contraindications:
Do not use Neofen Belupo Plus gel if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredients in the gel. Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin, mucous membranes, or near the eyes.
Directions:
Clean and dry the affected area before applying the gel. Use a pea-sized amount for small areas and slightly more for larger areas. Wash hands after application.
Scientific Evidence:
Neofen Belupo Plus gel’s efficacy is supported by several studies demonstrating its ability to reduce pain and inflammation in various musculoskeletal conditions. A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Rheumatology showed that topical ibuprofen gel provided significant pain relief in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee compared to a placebo gel.
Additional Information:
It is important to note that Neofen Belupo Plus gel is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or open wounds. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Pharmacological Effects: Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Neofen Belupo Plus gel, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins involved in the inflammatory response. When applied topically, ibuprofen penetrates the skin to reach the underlying tissues, providing targeted relief.
Clinical Trials: In a comparative effectiveness study published in the Journal of Pain Research, Neofen Belupo Plus gel was found to be as effective as oral ibuprofen in reducing pain and improving function in patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries. The gel formulation was preferred by patients due to its localized action and reduced risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
