Description

Nifedipin composition and form of release
The main active ingredient is nifedipine.
The drug is marketed in the form of tablets, 10 mg of nefidipine in 1 tablet.

Pharmacological properties
Nifedipin belongs to the group of selective calcium antagonists with a predominant effect on blood vessels.
The active ingredient is nifedipine. The considered pharmaceutical component, when used appropriately, has the property of lowering arterial pressure. Blocks calcium channels, inhibiting calcium ions, as a result of which the accumulation of calcium ions in cells decreases. As a result, the coronary and peripheral vessels dilate, which leads to a decrease in systemic vascular resistance, and as a result – cardiac load, afterload and activation of oxygen supply to the heart muscle.
In general, the use of the drug prevents the depletion of energy reserves in the heart muscle, protecting it, and also lowers blood pressure, preventing angina attacks, as well as migraine attacks. In addition, therapy with nifedipine induces a normalization of the heart rate.

Indications
Nifedipin is used in the treatment of such diseases of the cardiovascular system, in particular:
