Sinupret is a complex herbal preparation. It has secretolytic, anti-inflammatory, decongestion, immunostimulating and antiviral effects. The drug increases sensitivity to antibiotic therapy. Sinupret is used for acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the sinuses.

Description

Sinupret (gentian root) syrup 100 ml. vial

Composition

active ingredients: 100 g of syrup contain: 10 g of extract (1:11) of gentian root, primrose flowers with a cup, verbena, sorrel, elderflower (1: 3: 3: 3: 3), (extractant ethanol 59% (ob / ob);

excipients: purified water, cherry aroma, liquid maltitol.

The ethanol content is 8% (v / v).

Dosage form

Syrup.

Main physical and chemical properties: clear viscous liquid of light brown color, sweet to taste, with cherry aroma.

Turbidity or precipitation may occur during storage.

Pharmacological properties

Herbal components that are part of the drug have a complex activity, which is manifested in secretolytic action, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effects.

Under the influence of the drug secretion is regulated and tissue edema is reduced. Drainage and ventilation of the paranasal sinuses are restored, nasal congestion is eliminated, the protective function of the airway epithelium is normalized.

Indication

Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the paranasal sinuses.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any of the active or other components of the drug, to other species of primroses, as well as peptic ulcer.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Sinupret syrup should be taken during pregnancy or breast-feeding only after a clear diagnosis by the doctor and an assessment of the benefit to the mother / risk to the fetus (child).

Due to the ethanol content, the syrup should be taken when it is not possible to take Sinupret tablets.

Method of application and dosage

The drug is dosed using a measuring cap in the doses listed in the table, according to age, 3 times a day:

Sinupret syrup can be used both undiluted and with a small amount of liquid (which does not contain alcohol). The syrup should be shaken before use. The drug can be taken during meals, drinks or between meals. Patients who complain of functional dyspepsia (so-called “sensitive stomach”) are recommended to take the syrup after a meal. For children under 6 years of age, a single dose of syrup should be diluted in 1 tablespoon of liquid.

During storage, turbidity or precipitation may occur, which does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the recommended course of treatment is 7-14 days.

Children

Due to lack of research, do not use in children under 2 years of age.

Overdose

Cases of overdose are currently unknown. Increased occurrence of these side effects is possible, in which case you should see a doctor.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy is required in case of poisoning or overdose.

Side effects

Cases of gastrointestinal disorders (including stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort) are uncommon. Hypersensitivity reactions may also occur, including rash, redness, itching, hives, Quincke’s edema, shortness of breath, and swelling of the face.
