Sorbifer Durules tablets with modified release have been studied in clinical trials for their efficacy in treating iron deficiency anemia. The controlled-release formulation ensures a gradual and sustained release of iron and ascorbic acid, optimizing absorption and reducing gastrointestinal side effects. Research published in the Journal of Hematology & Oncology demonstrated the superior bioavailability and tolerability of Sorbifer Durules compared to traditional iron supplements.
Pharmacological Effects: Iron sulfate replenishes iron stores in the body, correcting anemia, while ascorbic acid enhances iron absorption. The modified-release technology in Sorbifer Durules ensures a steady supply of iron, minimizing the risk of overdose and improving patient compliance.
