Composition
active substances: 100 g of solution contain 50 g of liquid extract (0.65: 1) from a mixture of raw materials: chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla L.) – 6.5 g, oak bark (Quercus robur L.) – 6.5 g, sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L.) – 6.5 g, arnica herbs (Arnica montana L.) – 3.25 g, rhizomes of calamus (Acorus calamus L.) – 3.25 g, peppermint herbs (Mentha piperita) L.) – 3.25 g, thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.) – 3.25 g, anesthesia 2 g; extractant: ethanol 70% (w / w);
Excipients: sodium tetraborate, glycerin, methylcellulose, ethanol 96%, purified water.
Dosage form
Oral solution.
Basic physical and chemical properties: viscous opaque liquid of dark brown color.

Pharmacological properties
This medicinal product Stomatofit-A solution belongs to preparations consisting of extracts of substances of plant origin, intended for use in dentistry.
The drug produces a bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and astringent effect due to the substances that make up the drug. In addition, it has the ability to counteract the growth of yeast fungi of the genus Candida albicans.
One of the active components of the drug is anesthesin, which has a mild analgesic effect.
The presence of thickeners (methylcellulose, glycerin) allows the preparation to produce a longer action when applied to the affected area of the mucous membrane or skin.
Indications
This drug Stomatofit-A solution is used in the complex treatment of diseases of the oral mucosa, including those provoked by yeast fungi. In particular, they are used in therapy:
- gingivitis;
- periodontitis;
- stomatitis;
- glossitis (including those caused by yeast).
Contraindications
Not applicable if the patient has hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components that make up the drug.
Contraindicated if the patient is diagnosed with bronchial asthma or if he suffers from chronic alcoholism.
It is forbidden to apply to wound surfaces, ulcers, other violations of the integrity of the skin or mucous membrane.
It is not used in pediatrics until the age of 6 years.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is not recommended for the treatment of pregnant women.
During treatment, lactation (breastfeeding) should be suspended.
Method of administration and dosage
Adults and children over 12 years of age: treat the affected areas with a cotton swab dipped in the drug at least 3 times a day. Do not rinse your mouth immediately after using the drug. The duration of treatment is 7 days. If symptoms worsen or persist, consult a physician.
Children
The drug contains ethyl alcohol, so the drug should not be used in children under 12 years.
Overdose
Overdose cases have not been observed at the moment. Possible increased side effects.
In case of accidental and excessive ingestion of the drug, you should rinse the stomach, take enterosorbents.
Side effects
Usually, this drug is well tolerated.
Oak bark has the property of darkening teeth and oral mucosa. The color of the teeth and the oral mucosa is restored with normal daily brushing.
A short-term burning sensation on the mucous membrane may occur immediately after application. This sensation passes quickly and does not require discontinuation of the drug.
The glycerin contained in the preparation may irritate the skin and mucous membranes.
The most common side effect is allergic reactions. Usually, with a hypersensitivity reaction, it is noted:
- nausea;
- vomiting;
- skin rash, allergic urticaria;
- itching;
- swelling of the skin, hyperemia.
If you have any unusual side effects as a result of taking this drug, you should consult your doctor about possible changes in the treatment regimen.
