Composition
active substances: 100 g of solution contain liquid extract (0.65: 1) from a mixture of raw materials: chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla L.) – 13 g, oak bark (Quercus robur L.) – 13 g, sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L .) – 13 g, arnica herbs (Arnica montana L.) – 6.5 g, calamus rhizomes (Acorus calamus L.) – 6.5 g, peppermint herbs (Mentha piperita L.) – 6.5 g , herbs thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.) – 6.5 g; extractant: ethanol 70% (w / w);
excipients: ethanol 96%, purified water.

Pharmacological properties
The drug has astringent, emollient, anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity due to extracts of oak bark, chamomile flowers and sage leaves. In addition, tannins and essential oils contained in the drug have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal effects on the mucous membranes of the mouth and gums. In vitro tests have shown that sage and chamomile essential oils have bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungicidal action against Candida albicans.
Indications
Stomatofit solution is intended for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity of various origins, such as gingivitis, periodontitis, stomatitis and glossitis. The solution for local use can be used both for monotherapy and as part of a complex treatment with other drugs.
Contraindications
Stomatofit cannot be used to treat patients with a history of hypersensitivity to its components, as well as to plants belonging to the Asteracae family. Stomatofit solution cannot be used to treat children under 6 years of age.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
For the treatment of pregnant women, Stomatofit can be used only after a careful analysis of the ratio of benefits to the mother and risks to the fetus. Due to the low adsorption of the drug, the drug can be used to treat women who are lactating.
Method of administration and dosage
Stomatofit solution is used in the form of rinses 3-4 times a day: adults – rinse the mouth with 15% aqueous-alcoholic solution of the drug (7.5 ml of the drug dissolved in ¼ glasses of water); children from 6 years to use after consultation with a doctor – 10 ml of the drug dissolved in 1 glass of water. The duration of treatment is 7 days. If symptoms worsen or persist, consult a physician.
Children
The drug contains ethyl alcohol, so the drug should not be used in children under 6 years.
Overdose
With the correct use of Stomatofit solution and the observance of the indicated dosages, an overdose is impossible. However, if accidentally ingested or a large amount of the drug, the patient may experience nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In case of an overdose of the drug, the patient’s stomach should be flushed and provided with enterosorbents.
Side effects
Possible allergic reactions, including redness, itching.
Locally – a short-term burning sensation of the oral mucosa immediately after rinsing, as well as a reversible change in tooth color, which disappears with regular brushing.
