Composition

active substance: benzydamine hydrochloride;

1 sachet contains: 500 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride;

Excipients: cetyltrimethylammonium-para-toluenesulfonate, povidone, sodium chloride.

Dosage form

Granules for vaginal solution.

Main physical and chemical properties: granules from white to almost white, homogeneous, without lumps and foreign particles.

Pharmacological properties

Benzidamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and anti-edematous properties. When applied topically, it also has antiseptic and local anesthetic activity.

Indications

Tantum Roza granules is used in the treatment of vaginosis caused by bacterial infection, vulvovaginitis of a specific nature, vulvovaginitis of a nonspecific nature, inflammatory gynecological diseases associated with radiotherapy or chemotherapeutic treatment. In addition, the drug is prescribed for the treatment of cervicovaginitis of various origins, for the prevention of the development of infectious and inflammatory lesions after surgery and for hygiene procedures after childbirth.

Contraindications

The use of Tantum Rose is contraindicated in the treatment of patients under 12 years of age and intolerance to the components of the drug.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Tantum Rose can be used in the therapy of pregnant women, however, due to the lack of sufficient information about the features of the effect of the drug on the development of the fetus, its appointment to patients at this stage is carried out only as a last resort.
In the treatment of women at the lactation stage, the use of Tantum Rose is possible only after consulting a doctor.

Method of administration and dosage

Use the drug Tantum Roza granules 1 or 2 times a day for no longer than 7 days. If symptoms persist, treatment should be discontinued and a physician should be consulted.

It is necessary to dissolve the contents of 1-2 sachets in 1 liter of water.

The irrigation procedure should be performed lying down, the fluid should remain in the vagina for several minutes.

Children

Do not use in children.

Overdose

Due to the fact that the Tantum Rose solution is intended for local use and is characterized by low adsorption, an overdose is impossible when using it. In case of accidental oral administration of the drug, the patient should immediately rinse the stomach and prescribe the use of enerosorbents.

Side effects

When used for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes, Tantum Rose sometimes develops allergic reactions, increased dryness of the mucous membranes of the genital organs, as well as itching, hyperemia and irritation of the vaginal mucosa.
