Description
Chaga fungus is an outgrowth that appears on dry birches or on the trunks of living trees (elm, rowan, beech, alder). The fungus has a strong therapeutic effect. This is probably one of the most effective herbal remedies. Old or too large growths are not used for medicinal purposes. Chaga mushroom can be collected all year round. However, it is very poorly separated from the trunk of the tree. They do this with an ax. The growth is cut down at the very base, and then the black healing part is separated. The prepared part of the fungus can be stored from six months to two years in a dry place. The ash contained in the fungus is very valuable because it contains alumina, zinc, potassium, manganese, magnesium and sodium. Chaga also contains a number of acids: formic, vanillic, oxalic.
