Composition

active substances: metamizole sodium monohydrate, tempidone (triacetonamine-4-toluenesulfonate);

1 film-coated tablet contains: metamizole sodium monohydrate 500 mg, tempidone (triacetonamine-4-toluenesulfonate) 20 mg;

Excipients: wheat starch, microcrystalline cellulose (type 101), povidone K 25, talc, magnesium stearate;

film coating: Opadry II 85 F21526 green (partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), quinoline yellow (E 104), diamond blue FCF (E 133)).

Coated tablets.

Main physical and chemical properties: round biconvex tablets, coated, 13 mm in diameter, green, odorless.

Indications

Tempalgyn is used to eliminate pain syndrome of various etiologies (headaches, neuralgia, migraine, algodismenorrhea, toothache and joint pain). It is also indicated to improve the action of antispasmodic drugs used to relieve visceral pain (renal, hepatic and intestinal colic). It is effective for mild to moderate pain during diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Contraindications

Tempalgyn is not prescribed if the patient suffers from hypotension, severe forms of renal or hepatic failure, inhibition of hematopoiesis (neutropenia, agranulocytosis, leukopenia), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, as well as pregnant women, lactating children and children under 15 years of age.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Tempalgyn is not used for the treatment of pregnant and lactating women, since there is no data on the use of the drug for this category of patients. If it is necessary to use the drug for the treatment of women at the stage of lactation, it is recommended to stop feeding during therapy.

Method of administration and dosage

Tempalgyn is taken together or after meals with a sufficient amount of liquid. You can take from one to three tablets per day. Children who have turned 15 years old can take the drug in a pill no more than twice per knock. A single dose of Tempalgin, as a rule, does not exceed one tablet.

Overdose

In case of an overdose of Tempalgyn, tachycardia, drowsiness, vomiting, a significant decrease in blood pressure, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, seizures, disturbances or confusion may occur. There is no specific antidote, and therefore such patients are prescribed symptomatic treatment, gastric lavage, and intake of enterosorbents. In the case of a decrease in pressure to critical figures, patients are prescribed drugs that increase blood pressure and symptomatic therapy. In especially difficult cases, patients are shown hemodialysis or forced diuresis.

Side effects

As a rule, a single or short-term intake of Tempalgyn is not accompanied by the development of side effects, however, with prolonged use of the drug, patients may experience headaches, hallucinations, dizziness, epigastric pain, vomiting, increased activity of gastric secretions, cholestasis, jaundice, hypo- or hypertension, cyanosis , tachycardia, interstitial nephritis, thrombocytopenia, urticaria, pruritus, Quincke’s edema, exudative erythema, bronchospasm, Lyell’s syndrome and anaphylactic shock.
