Composition
active substances: atenolol, chlortalidone;
1 tablet contains atenolol 50 mg and chlorthalidone 12.5 mg or atenolol 100 mg and chlorthalidone 25 mg;
Excipients: lactose anhydrous, corn starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium lauryl sulfate, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), light mineral oil, polyethylene glycol, carnauba wax;
shell: isopropyl alcohol, dichloromethane, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, purified talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), light mineral oil, macrogol.

Pharmacological properties
The drug belongs to the category of drugs for the treatment of functional disorders of the cardiovascular system.
In particular, it belongs to the group of drug regulation of blood pressure.
Tenoric is well absorbed from the esophagus and has an effect 2-4 hours after ingestion. And thanks to the biological actions of the active ingredients, the medicine “works” for at least a day. It is excreted in the urine.
Before you start taking the drug, you should check the body for heart failure. If she is diagnosed, you can take the drug only after she is completely cured.
The drug should not be stopped abruptly, especially in case of ischemic heart disease.
Indications
Tenorik tablets is produced to lower blood pressure.
Contraindications
The following diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system are sinus bradycardia, heart block, cardiogenic shock, heart failure.
It is forbidden to take Tenorik together with verapamil, the break between taking medications should be done in several days.
Caution should be prescribed for bronchial asthma and respiratory diseases, dysfunctions in the gastrointestinal tract, low levels of potassium in the body, kidney dysfunction.
In especially sensitive people, it can provoke glucose intolerance.
Do not prescribe Tenorik two days before surgery – it is difficult to receive anesthesia. The drug is poorly combined with anesthetics consisting of ether, cyclopropane and trichlorethylene.
Allow an abrupt termination of Tenorik tablets intake due to the occurrence of certain disorders in the functioning of the general system of the body.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Reception of Tenorik tablets is possible only if absolutely necessary during these periods.
Method of administration and dosage
Tenorik tablets should be administered to adults without chewing internally, with water, before meals, preferably at the same time.
Doses and duration of treatment should be determined individually depending on the therapeutic effect.
Tenorik is not intended for the initial treatment of hypertension. The drug should be prescribed in case of ineffective monotherapy.
Usually the initial dose is Tenorik 1 tablet of 50 mg / 12.5 mg 1 time per day. In case of insufficient therapeutic effect, prescribe Tenorik 1 tablet of 100 mg / 25 mg once a day. In most patients with hypertension, the use of 1 tablet Tenorik (atenolol 100 mg and chlorthalidone 25 mg) once a day provides a sufficient therapeutic effect. With increasing dose, a further decrease in blood pressure either does not occur or it is insignificant, but if necessary, another antihypertensive agent may be additionally prescribed.
Overdose
There have been no cases of severe overdose. In extreme cases, when the drug is prescribed to people with contraindications or conditional contraindications, symptoms of bradycardia, congestive heart failure, hypotension, bronchospasm and hypoglycemia may occur.
If the above symptoms occur, the patient will need medical supervision.
First aid is gastric lavage followed by intravenous atropine, possibly isoprenaline or orciprenaline. It is necessary to maintain the balance of fluids and electrolytes in the body.
Side effects
Side effects when taking Tenorik tablets do not occur or occur extremely rarely and are mild.
Discomfort in the upper limbs (cold), muscle fatigue, insomnia are possible.
